Aspen Communities was established in 2007 with the aim to create a visionary, inclusive and innovative range of accommodation developments across Australia for those aged 55 and over. The forward looking projects undertaken by Aspen Communities will see a range of spacious resort-style facilities offering residents a choice of quality living options whilst maintaining a strong focus on their evolving lifestyle and security needs over time.
The 55 years and over demographic is a sector of the Australian population which has and is expected to experience substantial growth. With a current participation rate of around 3.5% of people 65 years and over in the Australian retirement sector, there exists a substantial opportunity to improve that participation rate with the development and provision of innovative retirement living products.
In the short time that Aspen Communities has been established, a number of properties have been or are in the process of being acquired throughout Australia for the development of suitable communities, and putting Aspen Communities on track to be one of the largest national providers of contemporary, innovative and responsive communities for people aged 55 and over.

Aspen Communities Property Fund
The demand for inspired lifestyle and accommodation solutions in the 55 years and over age group has been identified by Aspen Group as a further opportunity for the creation of a niche investment fund.
Aspen Group launched the Aspen Communities Property Fund in May 2008, as a long term investment vehicle designed to provide investors with a mixture of capital appreciation and annuity income from developing and owning residential communities.
The Fund, which has been designed for wholesale investors, provides exposure to an alternative property sector, adding diversity to most investment portfolios. The Fund has secured an initial portfolio of partially developed properties and greenfield sites across Australia, which are to be developed and managed by the Aspen Communities team.
